About Me:
I'm a multimedia journalist who loves to write, shoot, produce videos, edit, record podcasts, perform stand-ups and deliver live hits. I have dual degrees from New York University in Journalism and Media, Culture and Communications with concentrations in Politics and Persuasion as well as Global and Trans-cultural Communication. In my journalism major I perfected my ability to tell stories across various platforms. In my MCC major, I deepened my critical thinking abilities, became business savvy, and analyzed news coverage across a range of issues concerning race, gender, and religion.

I take a special interest in women's rights, disability rights, environmental issues, natural disasters, humanitarian issues, economic inequality, and international affairs. I am a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), with a hearing loss of my own that I regularly overcome.

I'm fluent in American Sign Language and have some knowledge of French and Spanish. I'm currently taking Spanish courses and am committed to continuing until I'm at a professional level.
When people ask where I'm from, I never know how to answer. Growing up, I moved around a lot between Pennsylvania and Connecticut. After four years at NYU, I'll always be a New Yorker at heart. After college I spent one year in Washington D.C. learning more about politics and I just finished an AP reporter stint covering politics daily in Raleigh, North Carolina. While in North Carolina, I also worked on stories about hurricane recovery, hemp farmers, and shark attacks, among other topics.

Beyond my love for journalism, I'm a huge fan of the outdoors. I hike up mountains frequently, attempt triathalons, and volunteer with animals when I can. When I'm not spending time outside, don't be surprised if you see me break into dance -- whether it be ballroom, hip-hop, swing, or salsa.
I have traveled to 26 countries, and I'm aware that 26 is far too few. I say "yes" to new opportunities and ideas way more often than I say "no." I grew up with three older brothers, and thus, have mastered my ability to compromise. They also taught me how to give a pretty good hip-check in street hockey.
